I was with Boeing for many years, with various roles. However, I was predominantly responsible for the full software lifecycle of both the Vigilare and High Frequency Modernisation Project (HFMP) user interfaces. This included liaising with Commonwealth of Australia military customers, UX design, software documentation, implementation, and testing of UIs.
My work as a UX Designer at Caterpillar resulted in three patents being filed, and one patent being granted for innovative work in mining applications. Pretty cool!
United States Patent #9052209 for Location Services in Mining Vehicle Operations. Short story version, it provides a timeline view and map view of current and planned locations of mining fleet machinery to support efficient mine operations.
